Counselors should represent the highest quality in work ethic, social interaction and genuine care for the campers. Experience in being a camp instructor is preferred but not required. What is essential is ability to work hard be prepared mentally, emotionally and physically, learn quickly and on the fly and adjust rapidly in a highly intense environment, along with a commitment to getting the job done. Camp Counselor Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To have a general understanding of basketball, having participated at some level, preferably High School and College.
EDUCATION: Each applicant will be considered at his or her various age and background, and educational level.
PEOPLE SKILLS: Instructors must present an outgoing and proactive ability to interact with athletes, parents and other coaches. Must maintain a professional disposition and handle situations in a kind manner.
MORAL INTEGRITY: References will be contacted.
PERSONAL GROWTH: Coaches are encouraged in growth and development through leadership structured teaching and group interaction.
COMPENSATION: Wages paid weekly and are negotiated and agreed upon prior to camp.
COACH: Preferably a current coach or a parent with previous coaching and/or playing experience. Also included are current College or Professional players.
JR. COUNSELOR: This category includes High School students that have participated in 2 or more years of Quick HandleTM basketball camps.
